Upper computer operation guide

1: Device Connection

Click【connect】,Open the device configuration interface,after selecting the corresponding Device ID, Port Number, and Baud Rate, click【ok】. Open【Broadcast】, instructions will be issued via broadcasting.

TIP

  • Default ID for the left hand is 126, and for the right hand is 127.- In non-broadcast mode, the upper computer will automatically detect the connection status. If the connection fails, please check if the port number is set correctly.
  • If the automatic connection fails, you can try unplugging and re-plugging the 485 to serial port module or restarting the dexterous hand. If that doesn't work, you can click the [Check] button to check all IDs; please note this operation may take some time (around 10 minutes).

2: Gesture control

​ After the device is successfully connected, click【Motor】,Pop-up gesture control interface。

  • Area 1: Input parameters to control gestures, with options to select position (0 - 100), speed (-100, 100), PWM and various current control modes.
  • Area 2: Drag the slider to control finger position.
  • Area 3: Real-time display of finger control curves, with options to switch between viewing different fingers' position, speed, and current curves.
  • Area 4: Real-time display of the current parameters of the finger.

3: Parameter settings

​ After the device is successfully connected, switch the tab【Hand Parameters】, Can set/get the corresponding parameters of the device, on the left side【Instruction Display Area】Will display the sent/received instruction information.

4: Gesture action sequence

​ After the device is successfully connected, click【Action Sequence】,pop up the gesture action sequence interface.

4.1 Action sequence settings

​ It includes 6 built-in action sequences (open, fist, two-finger pinch, three-finger pinch, side pinch, single-finger tap), as well as 6 customizable action sequences. Each set of action sequences supports a maximum of 32 steps of decomposed actions, and the finger positions for each step can be set individually.

  • Finger Position: Set the target position of the fingers for a specific step in the action sequence (0 - 100)
  • Duration: Set the duration for a specific step in the action sequence.

After the action sequence data settings are completed, Click the bottom of the table【Download】, Download the table data to the nimble hand (the nimble hand will erase the setting information after shutting down).

Click【Upload】, upper-software opportunity reads the corresponding action sequence from the dexterous hand and displays it in a table.

Click【Run】, control the dexterous hand to trigger the corresponding action sequence and perform movements.

Run Interval_s: The interval time (in seconds) between each execution of the action sequenceRun

Count: The number of times the action sequence runs

4.2 Offline configuration file

Click the menu File -> Open to open a motion sequence file, and display it in the motion sequence data table area on the host computer.

Click the menu File -> Save As... to save the motion sequence data displayed in the table to a specified file.

5: OTA

After the device is successfully connected, click on the menu bar Tools -> OTA, and select the OTA file.

OTA-Firmware upgrade

WARNING


After the device is successfully connected, click on the menu bar Tools -> OTA, and select the OTA file. The host computer needs to be restarted after the upgrade is complete.
